Along with the rapid development of the city, objects that represent the traditional Chinese culture are disappearing. Within the metropolitan areas, temples are the only places that can still preserve the traditional Chinese architecture and the religious practices.

Temple-type is formed by the elements of Chinese Taoism temples, which includes the features of Chinese architectures, worship props, and statues of mythical creatures. Not only the Chinese characters themselves are representing a part of Chinese culture, they can now also carrying the other parts of culture visually, such as the architectural style and the religious traditions. The elements in the characters are traced from the photos that taken in the Chinese Taoism temples in Hong Kong. Hence, the historical traces and texture can also be kept.
